Conference Advisory Council with experts from the building services and technical installations, building automation and electrical engineering sectors

The second Intersec Forum – Conference for Networked Security Technology – in Frankfurt am Main on 16 and 17 March 2017 will spotlight the future of security technology within the technological framework of building automation, technical planning, building services and technical installations.

In August, the newly formed Intersec Forum Conference Advisory Council met to nominate the main themes and speakers for next year’s event. The members of the Conference Advisory Council are experts from the fields of building services and technical installations, building automation and electrical engineering and include Günther Mertz, Managing Director of the German Association of the Building Services and Technical Installation Industry (Bundesindustrieverband Technische Gebäudeausrüstung e.V. – BTGA), Dr Peter Hug, Managing Director of the Automation + Management Association for House + Building (AMG) in the German Mechanical Engineering Industry Association (Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau e.V. – VDMA), Peter Krapp, Managing Director of the Safety and Security Association in the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (Zentralverband Elektrotechnik- und Elektronikindustrie e.V. – ZVEI) and Dr Henrik Kelz, CEO of ZVEI-Service GmbH (ZSG).

The first Intersec Forum in 2016 focused on the challenges involved in the transition from ‘classic’ security technology to tomorrow’s networked security technology for property developers, building operators, planners and installation companies: “Intersec Forum 2017 will continue to apply this perspective and present the subject of networked security in an interesting way for the building-services and energy technology, the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning technologies and the building automation industries”, says Messe Frankfurt Senior Vice President Iris Jeglitza-Moshage.

Therefore, Intersec Forum 2017 is planned as a concurrent event to ISH – The World’s Leading Trade Fair for The Bathroom Experience, Building Services, Energy, Air Conditioning Technology and Renewable Energies – and will be held in the Portalhaus building on the Thursday and Friday of the fair (16 and 17 March 2017).

The Cooperation Partner is German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (Zentralverband Elektrotechnik- und Elektronikindustrie e.V. – ZVEI). Dr Klaus Mittelbach, Chairman of the Board of ZVEI emphasises:

“Digitalisation rapidly catalyses the interdisciplinary co-operation of our industry and the skilled trade within even bigger networks. Today, security demands are an essential precondition that have to be met constantly. The Intersec Forum shows, how to strengthen the confidence in the ‘digital world’ and how to efficiently deploy its opportunities.”

Messe Frankfurt supports the global safety and security market with its ‘Safety + Security’ portfolio of events, which currently comprises twelve fairs focusing on specific markets in Asia, South America, Africa, Europe and, in particular, the Middle East, where the company organises the leading international trade-fair in this industry – Intersec (Dubai, UAE). With Intersec Forum, Messe Frankfurt is bringing its organisation expertise in this industry to Frankfurt.
